Be Smarter, Play Smarter
To some, the world of bingo games must seem like a game of pure chance, a lottery. Contrary to popular belief however, there are a few ways you can increase your chances of winning.
Before you buy tickets to play, make sure you know the game. This may seem like I’m stating the obvious, but it’s amazing how many times I hear about people just buying in, willy-nilly, without having a proper understanding of the game first. My advice is to hone your craft on the demo modes available, building up your skills and devising some strategies. Being a winner on demo mode does not necessarily mean success at the real game, but the time spent learning the game certainly can’t hurt.
Making sure you’re comfortable is the key when it comes to increasing your chances in the online bingo arena. How do we do this? Well for starters, only play variations of the game that you like! If you like it, the chances are you’ll be comfortable. Many people far more qualified than me have said that “a happy player is a good player” and a good player can more often than not, end up a winner. In bingo terms this is a case of deciding whether the 75 ball or the 90 ball version is your cup of tea. Whichever one you go for, stick with it. The knowledge of the game will help you in the long run.
When scouring for the right game to join, choose wisely. Attractive jackpots may entice you into certain games, but these are usually very busy, giving you a smaller chance of winning. By picking a less crowded game, your likelihood of victory is increased. Think about it: if there are more players, it stands to reason that more people will have the same numbers as you. There are only 90 (or 75) balls after all.
Buying bingo cards is another area where you can gain an edge. Invest slightly more and your chances of winning will go up. The key is to maximise your chances of getting a winning combination. By buying fewer cards, you can more effectively find the card containing the winning numbers. This won’t be possible if you are rifling through a whole host of cheaper cards. Keep it simple and think “quality over quantity”.
Hopefully these words of wisdom will stand you in good stead for the future. Don’t forget to thank me if you hit it big!
